Weekly Wrap: Edition VI, MMXXV

Writer: Hailey ChristensenHailey Christensen

This previous week, February 10th-18th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team accomplished many goals across all the specific teams. The Manufacturing & Design remade a battery platform and Limelight covers, refined the robot wiring due to two wires shorting one another out, and mounted tweaked bumpers onto the competition robot. The Programming Team completed an LED strip project, completed code functions for the robot's autonomous and teleoperated functions with plans to refine, and held driver practice on Saturday. The MMA team interviewed their two Deans's List Award nominees, completed updating the business plan except for the bill of materials, and updated the safety manual. The Manufacturing & Design and MMA teams focused a lot of this last week on creating a detailed bill of materials and will continue to do so in the upcoming week. Finally, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team did a match trial run on Saturday focusing on coral deposition and was extremely successful with the robot's ability to score on all four levels of the reef quickly and without major error. The team now hopes to generate a way to remove algae from the reef so placing coral will be easier.
