This previous week, February 4th-10th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team engaged with multiple tasks, but principally focused on programming. The Programming team dedicated significant time this week on developing and refining commands to score in L4, L3, and L2 in auto. They also worked PID tunning using system ID, which is important for ensuring the robot's movements are accurate and responsive. Additionally, the team advanced on auto-positioning using "Mega Tag" for AprilTags to enhance the robot's identification of its position. This Programming-based stage in preparation for competition is vital, and the Plainsmen team is proud of how hard our Programmers are working! The Manufacturing & Design team, when not assisting the Programming team, focused on eligibility requirements, creating and refining CAD designs, and making necessary adjustments to mechanisms. Finally, the MMA team refurbished the Business Plan and Safety Manual. They also maintained daily documentation and prepared and planned for various awards. Overall, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team had a very productive week, particularly in the Programming team, with significant progress being made. They are still four weeks out until competition, but are planning to soon start driver practice!
