Weekly Wrap: Edition IV, MMXXV

This previous week, January 28th-February 3rd, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team tackled many projects, completed others, and worked together to ensure the team is on track for competition in the future. First, the Manufacturing & Design team completed the elevator mechanism, including all parts, motors, and wires attached. After finishing the elevator, they began to focus on both the ground coral and algae intake mechanisms. The team hopes to refine the two intakes as time goes on and will begin to wire them next week. On the other hand, the Programming team helped wire the elevator mechanism and completed coding all the motors attached to it. Additionally, the team created autonomous functions that allow the drive team to execute tasks on the field easier than previous years. The team hopes to code and help wire the two intake mechanisms once the Manufacturing & Design team finishes prototyping. Lastly, the MMA team submitted the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award essay, which was written about a longtime mentor of the team. They also began refurbishing the business plan and safety manual to prepare for competition in San Antonio! In conclusion, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team has made amazing progress on the robot and hopes to solidify a name for their 2025 robot design soon!
