Weekly Overview

This previous week, January 14th-20th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team accomplished many goals this past week and continues to work hard on challenges ahead! The Manufacturing & Design team prototyped and built many mechanisms including the elevator and lateral slider, which have been completed. The team also encountered a few setbacks due to mistakes being made on certain parts but the team was able to adapt and correct those mistakes without wasting much time. The Programming team focused a majority of their attention on AprilTag alignment, Limelight color detection, and autonomous functions. The group has been extremely successful so far and has managed to stay organized and efficient. They plan to continue refining autonomous and teleop functions as competition nears! Meanwhile, the Media, Marketing, & Awards team kicked off this week by organizing goals and deadlines into an easy-to-follow spreadsheet and listed tasks in order by priority. The team continued to document the team's progress throughout the week and began centering their attention on awards. The team hopes to complete the Woodie Flowers essay soon so it can be revised and submitted before the deadline. This past Saturday's practice kicked off the Iron Plainsmen driver tryouts with a couple of members standing out due to their control and understanding of strategy. Overall, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team had a productive week and only sharpened their skills more as this season's competition REEFSCAPE® nears!
