Since the 21st of this month, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team has done extensive work and tackled numerous technical challenges. This week has been full of teamwork and creativity, all aimed at enhancing the robot's performance.

On Saturday, the team conducted lots of driver practice, which revealed a significant issue: the robot would run out of power due to having multiple shooters active simultaneously. To resolve this issue, the team decided to implement strategic programming that will turn the shooters off while they are not actively being used. While this will cause a delay in shooting, it is critical to ensure that there will be enough power for the full round.

On Monday, the team focused on mechanical systems. They finished constructing dividers for both the roller bed and the shooter mechanism. These dividers will prevent fuel from jamming and ensure a seamless flow of the scoring piece through the system. Next, the team proudly finished the production of all the buttons that will be required for the coming competition.

This Tuesday, the team transitioned to focus more on software and coding. The programming team concentrated on developing the code that would shut off the shooters when necessary. Additionally, the team took measurements for the intake system to ensure the full intake assembly can be completed effectively and efficiently. Finally, they progressed in mounting the climber and pulley shaft.

The Plainsmen Robotics team, across the various facets of work that go into building a robot, has planned and worked persistently over the last week. The team looks forward to putting just as much effort in next week!
