The Iron Plainsmen, from the 7th to the 10th, have made remarkable strides in their preparations for the upcoming competition. Each day has been full of hard work and commitment.
On Saturday, the 7th, the team made significant progress by rebuilding the robot's frame. Then, they moved the swerve modules from the practice robot onto the actual frame. Additionally, the team reconstructed the roller bed, which feeds game pieces from the intake to the shooter. Then, they spent time cleaning the shafts to ensure smooth operation. Finally, they assembled the climber motor.
On Monday, the 9th, the team secured the shooter hood parts to the robot, which will enhance the robot's accuracy while shooting. The team also created the bumper mounts, ensuring the robot would meet all frame restrictions. Then, they put the practice bumpers on the robot. Finally, the team continued producing buttons to give out during the competition.
Today, the 10th, the team started by shortening the shafts before moving electronics and the wire drive. Then, the team focused on securing wires on the intake system, the shooter mechanism, and the roller bed. Finally, they worked to reattach the belly pan on the robot's frame.
The Iron Plainsmen are forging their way towards their goal for the upcoming competition in March. Due to the long weekend, there will not be another blog post til next Tuesday. Stay up to date with all of the Plainsmen's progress here on their blog!
