Due to the adverse weather, the Plainsmen Robotics team has not been able to meet in person at the shop. The team was able to work remotely and clean the CAD of the robot. However, the team has fallen behind schedule by roughly two days; this setback has inspired renewed vigor among team members in the past three days. The Plainsmen are working diligently to get back on schedule as quickly as possible.

On Wednesday, the team, having completed the majority of the robot's schematics and foundations for the next stages, broke into specialized teams that were dedicated to a different mechanism. In these teams, they began gathering the parts required for each mechanism as well as thoroughly outlining where assembly would begin.

On Thursday, the team, still in specialized teams, completed many tasks with both speed and precision. First, they prepared the CNC machine for cutting and completed the files required for that. Next, they assembled several wheels for the intake system, which will redirect the balls. Finally, the team put together and finished the hooks for the climber and the climber tracks. The team continued this progress on Friday, jumping into gear to continue assembling all components, with plans to be fully back on schedule by the end of Saturday.

Despite the team having significantly less time to work with, they are making significant progress and are determined to be back on track by next week. Keep up with Plainly Iron on our website, Instagram, or Facebook, all named Iron Plainsmen after the team!
