Daily Brief
Today, February 27th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team watched game film from week one and discussed the pros and cons of other team's robots. The Manufacturing & Design team continued to work on assembling spare parts and CADing the climber mechanism. The Programming team continued to refine the robot's code to make it run faster and smoother, along with implementing some new logic that stops the robot from hurting itself during matches. The MMA continued daily documentation and began generating creative button designs. The Iron PLaismen Robotics team looks forward to driver practice on Saturday!
Narrowed Overview
The Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design team only had two tasks today: building spare parts and finishing the CAD design of the climber mechanism. Members finished manufacturing a few of the spare parts the team will need to bring to San Antonio and other members worked together to complete the climber mechanism in Onshape.
The Programming Team
The Programming team continued to tune the swerve drive constants to make the robot faster during autonomous. The team also integrated login into the code that won't allow the arm mechanism to lower itself if there is a coral detected to ensure the robot will not destroy its elevator mechanism.
The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team
The MMA team has completed the bulk of their work and plans to spend the rest of their time before competition updating the documentation binder that will be given to judges at competition. In the next couple of days, the team's main goal is to generate button design concepts and manufacture them to trade with other teams at competition.
