Daily Brief

Today, February 19th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team began the day by publically interviewing the team's two Deans List Award nominees to advance their public speaking skills and prepare them for answering open-ended questions. The Manufacturing & Design team only had a few goals today removing weight from the robot frame and completing CAD for the climber mechanisms. The Iron Plainsmen Robotics team is narrowing its focus toward competition prep and coral game strategy!

Narrowed Overview

The Manufacturing & Design Team

The Manufacturing & Design team has begun removing weight from the robot to prepare for competition and will continue to do so as mechanisms get altered. Additionally, the team focused a lot on CAD designs today, notably the climber mechanism. The team emphasized today that they need members to step up during driving practice so the team can discuss with their mentors and the Programming team in deciding the two main drivers this season.

The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team

The MMA team interviewed the two Deans List Award nominees and primarily focused on furthering the members' public speaking skills and elongating their answers to provide more detail and passion. Additionally, the team finalized the safety manual and business plan, excluding the ongoing bill of materials, and sent both copies to their mentor for printing. Once printed, the team will organize both documents into their respective binders which will be presented to judges at competition. The MMA team will continue to work alongside the Manufacturing & Design team to complete the bill of materials.
