Daily Brief
Today, February 26th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team began the day by reviewing week one game film and discussing issues and/or accomplishments other teams experienced on the field. The Programming team tweaked the drivetrain code to make the robot faster during autonomous and activated sensors on the arm mechanism to recognize when coral is picked up. The MMA team continued their daily documentation and generated concepts for button designs.
Narrowed Overview
The Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design team worked alongside the Programming team most of the day and discussed upcoming drive practice. The team will soon decide, along with their mentors, which members will become the primary and secondary drivers for the team this year. The team plans to show up for drive practice this Saturday ready to adjust to the robot's faster speed and tweaked programming.
The Programming Team
The Programming team refined the code on the drive train to optimize speed, something the drive team will have to practice more during drive practice this Saturday. The team also got sensors on the arm working to sense when coral is secured in the mechanism, which will then allow the robot to move quicker in autonomous mode once the coral is secured.
The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team
The MMA team completed travel paperwork, sanded 3D printed stencils, and generated concepts for button designs that will be manufactured and given out at competition. The team continued documentation of the team's progress and will soon compile all the blog posts into a binder to give to judges at competition.
