Narrowed Overview
The Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design team had little to focus on today, however, there were a few issues that needed to be addressed among members. Members noticed the voltage regulator on the robot was burnt out and needed to be replaced and rewired. The team accomplished the new installation using a spare voltage regulator in the shop as well as replaced a broken motor on the robot. The Manufacturing & Design team finished out the day by altering and remounting the bumpers onto the drive base!
The Programming Team
The programming team tackled a new project today that they suspect will help the team's cooperation and accountability. One of the members generated a concept to place LED strips along the robot that will be coded to change color based on what orientation the robot's elevator and arm mechanism is currently in to differentiate mistakes made in game as driver or programming mistakes. The team worked on code for the concept and plans to have it working within the next couple of days!
The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team
The MMA team continued with daily documentation, organization, and photography as usual. The team also took some time to question the team's Dean's List Award nominee over FIRST-related and personal questions to prepare for upcoming competition. The Iron Plainsmen Business Plan has undergone many changes, the most recent being the Bill of Materials page outlining the total cost of the robot. The MMA team hopes to complete the bill of materials in a couple of days!
