Narrowed Overview
The Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design team revealed to the rest of the team that the robot can successfully deep climb as of today, an endeavor the team did not necessarily believe was vital to the team's progression, but is a helpful tool the Drive team could utilize during matches. The team also worked with the Programming team in working out any bugs with coral deposition and plans to continue refining the arm to ensure the robot can deposit coral on the reef one hundred percent of the time!
The Programming Team
The Programming team focused on autonomous functions to perfect depositing coral on all levels of the reef. The team is striving to create buttons that the Drive team will quickly be able to press during teleop which will make the robot do certain pre-programmed functions rather than relying on the driver alone to carry out the function. This is something that the team has struggled with in previous seasons and this is the Programming team's attempt at solving the issue to have smoother matches.
The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team
The MMA team publicly questioned the Deans List Award nominees using mock interview questions over the foundation of FIRST. The team also tackled a CAD project assigned by their mentor that consisted of making stencils for a local student in need. The MMA team photographed members working on the ground coral intake, caught up on documentation, and updated the demographics page of the Iron Plainsmen Robotics Business Plan!
