Daily Brief
Today, February 1st, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team met together to discuss the multitude of tasks they wanted to accomplish by the end of the practice. The Manufacturing & Design team spent most of the day doing system checks on the practice and competition robots, as well as assisting in driver practice. The Programming team worked with the Manufacturing & Design team to complete system checks on the robots. The MMA team began to refine the team business plan and progressed interview skills with the two Dean's List Award nominees. Overall, the Iron Plainsmen made a lot of progress this practice and hope to prepare each other for competition in a few weeks!

Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design started the day by doing a system check on both robots with the Programming team. Once they had checked that everything was operational and in place, many went down to the practice field to practice driving the robot. Then, they started planning the electronics layout and cover as well as their mechanisms controller. The Manufacturing & Design team plans on finishing the algae and coral ground intake in this upcoming week.
The Programming Team
The Programming team began the day by assisting the Manufacturing & Design team with a full system check on both robots. After, while the Manufacturing & Design team did driver practice, the Programming team worked on dial-in mechanisms on the robot through programming variables. The team then assisted in driver practice with the Manufacturing & Design team to aid potential drivers tune their skills and receive helpful tips from mentors that have driven in the past.
The Marketing, Media, & Design Team
The MMA team started the day by working on the daily documentation and making a Google Form to collect data on the team's demographics that will be used to update the business plan. Afterward, they photographed driving practice and studied previous years' business plans before tackling the new one. The MMA team plans to create mock interviews for the two Deans List nominees to prepare them for competition in San Antonio!
