Narrowed Overview
The Manufacturing & Design Team
The Manufacturing & Design team completed 3D printing the Limelight cover and attached it to the Limelight on the competition robot as well as finished replacing the bad rails on the chassis with new ones. The team continued to make new tread for wheels that will be used for the competition robot and made sure all fasteners were tight. Regarding intakes, the team proceeded to work on the ground coral intake, making sure to adjust the width as needed and continued prototyping the algae intake.
The Programming Team
The Programming team focused on the ground coral intake mechanism after the Manufacturing & Design team was done wiring it. They spent most of their time writing commands for the practice robot to run a Falcon motor to allow for ample driver practice. The autonomous and teleoperated commands will be slightly converted to better fit the competition robot once completed.
The Marketing, Media, & Awards Team
The MMA team began the day by officially submitting the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award essay the members have been writing about a longtime mentor and leader of the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team. The team also completed daily documentation of the team's progress to update the documentation binder in preparation for the team's first competition in San Antonio, Texas. The MMA team plans to create mock interviews for the two Deans List nominees so they can practice as well!
