Daily Digest: Issue III, MMXXV

Daily Brief

Today, January 10th, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team began the day by meeting to enthusiastically discuss the multitude of tasks that were completed by the Manufacturing & Design team at yesterday's practice. The team did a great job at efficiently building multiple parts of the practice field to have them ready for driver practice! Today, however, the team altered their focus on completing the dimensions of the practice field while also continuing their progression of the elevator mechanism prototype. The Programming team worked closely with the Manufacturing & Design team today, reaching the conclusion that a slider on the elevator mechanism is most appropriate and favorable to the Programming team's preferences. The MMA team took a trip to the practice field to photograph the progress the team has made as well as wrote the Daily Digest blog. In conclusion, the Iron Plainsmen Robotics team has made immense advancements on multiple projects and continues to fulfill the objectives set in place.

Narrowed Overview

Manufacturing & Design Team

The Manufacturing & Design team started the day by proceeding down to the practice field and finalizing the reef, barge, and algae processor proportions. Once the dimensions were correct, they positioned the components they had built in their respective places. After, they persisted in building the elevator mechanism prototype.

Programming Team

The Programming team worked diligently with multiple new members joining them in today's practice, imparting Limelight color detection skills upon them. The team attached a new Limelight camera to the current drivetrain and experimented with its abilities to gain a comfortable understanding of its functions. Finally, the group hopes to complete vision tracking on the game pieces by next week!

Marketing, Media, & Awards Team

The MMA team began the day by photographing the improved practice field and assisting the Manufacturing & Design team with their setup. Additionally, the team wrote and posted an issue of Daily Digest while other members focused on award planning. The team plans to create a detailed timeline of all MMA goals; including deadlines for specific awards. Finally, the team is interested in recruiting new members.
